MyCC prioritises Advocacy Activities to ensure Success
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 23 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC), currently in the early phase of its operation, will prioritise its competition advocacy activities in order to maximise resources and achieve successes in the shortest period of time.

"Early successes will underscore MyCC's feasibility and credibility as an authority that is committed to enforce the Competition Act 2010," said Professor Datuk Dr S. Sothi Rachagan, a member of the Commission.

Established in June last year, the MyCC, an independent body which monitors and acts on cases of abuse by businesses, today launched the "Booklet on Advocacy Strategic Plan".

"Our advocacy strategies will focus on projects that are economically important, visible, resource efficient, reasonably capable of achieving success and those that could enhance credibility, accountability and transparency.

"In undertaking competition advocacy activities, the Working Committee on Advocacy (WCA) will study and adopt the best practices of the competition advocacy work of competition agencies in other countries.
